Privacy Policy

At Prashnix Software (prashnix.com), your privacy and data sovereignty are fundamental architectural principles. We design local-first, offline desktop applications specifically so that your sensitive examination papers, student records, and school financial accounts never leave your computer.

---

1. Our Core Privacy Guarantee: 100% On-Device Data

Unlike cloud SaaS platforms that require student records and proprietary exam papers to be hosted on remote servers, both Prashnix Assessment and Prashnix ERP run locally on your Windows PC:

• No Telemetry or Tracking: Our desktop software contains zero background analytics, tracking pixels, or diagnostic telemetry. We do not monitor how many tests you generate, which questions you draft, or what student fees you collect.
• Embedded Local Databases: All question banks, blueprints, student directories, fee receipts, and cashbooks are stored locally in standard SQLite database files on your own hard drive.
• Offline-First Execution: The software functions indefinitely without an active internet connection.

2. Information Collected on Our Website

When you browse or interact with prashnix.in, minimal data is collected strictly to deliver our web pages and support inquiries:

• Contact & Activation Requests: If you submit a form requesting a trial activation key, technical support, or licensing assistance, we collect your name, institutional email address, phone number (if provided), and message details solely to respond to your request.
• Standard Web Server Logs: Like all websites, our hosting servers automatically log standard network requests (including visitor IP addresses, browser types, and timestamped page requests) to maintain network security, prevent spam, and mitigate denial-of-service attacks. These logs are routinely rotated and purged.
• Cookies: Our website uses only essential session cookies required for core site functionality and navigation. We do not use third-party behavioral advertising cookies or cross-site tracking trackers.

3. Desktop Licensing & Device Identification

For users activating Prashnix Assessment with a permanent license key, the software generates a non-reversible cryptographic hash representing your computer’s hardware configuration (Device ID). This Device ID contains zero personally identifiable information, cannot be reverse-engineered to inspect your machine’s files, and is used solely to generate an offline activation unlock key tied to that physical device.

4. Optional Google Drive Cloud Backup (Prashnix ERP)

Prashnix ERP includes an optional encrypted cloud backup feature utilizing the Google Drive API. When an administrator explicitly activates this feature:

• Access is restricted strictly to the drive.file scope, meaning Prashnix ERP can only create, read, and manage its own backup files inside a dedicated folder named Prashnix_ERP_Backups.
• Backups transmit directly from your local desktop application to your private Google Drive account. Zero data is routed through or stored on Prashnix servers.
• For full details and disclosures, please review our dedicated Google Drive Backup Privacy Policy.

5. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, monetize, or disclose your personal or institutional information to any third parties, brokers, or marketing syndicates. We only share information if legally mandated under applicable statutory Indian laws or court orders.

6. Your Data Rights

In accordance with data protection principles and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act, India), you have the right to:

• Request confirmation of any personal information we hold in connection with your support requests.
• Request the deletion or correction of your contact correspondence.
• Revoke any cloud authorizations (such as disconnecting Google Drive backup) at any time.

7. Contact & Grievance Redressal
